At the edge of the Mid Atlas & stretching from east to west through the Taza Gap to Algeria, this region has Meknes, Fes, and Taza within it.  Home to some of Morocco's last cedar stands, it is also home to Morocco's past & present ruling families. The Taza Gap, a small valley between the Rif and Atlas mountians, has seen armies from the Romans to the French pass through it.
The Atlantic Coast
Running north to south from Tangier to Rabat & Sale, from Casablana to Agadir and the Western Sahara, the Atlantic Coast holds Morocco's most famous city along with its capitol.
