Life for PCVs varies from person to person and from place to place.  On the next few pages I will be sharing with you my experiences in the city of Taza as well as the village of Beni Snane.
I served as a Parks, Wildlife, & Env. Education Volunteer in the Tazekka National Park located in the city of Taza.  The Park has one of the last remaining stands of cedars in Morocco and has been protected since 1950.  One way in which this park differs from ones in the States, is that there are villages located within the park's boundaries.  I worked with the villagers to promote tourism, decrease deforestation, and create a better understanding of the environment.
Friends Jim Heaton, Ken Surdin & I hiked to the top of Jbel Tazzeka (6000ft) in June of 1999
