Welcome to the
Miry Creek Golf Course
Cabri, Saskatachewan
As you travel about 10 kms west on highway 32 from Cabri ,in Southwestern Saskatchewan ,you will come upon a peaceful 9 hole golf course nestled in the rolling coulees .
The nine holes with their sand greens provide both amateur and experienced golfers a challenge as they travel through the course, along the well kept, tree-lined fairways , amid the beautiful prairie scenery. The fairways are natural prairie grasses, and as you play through the holes you will experience the wild flowers and sage that bloom abundant in the roughs and hills surrounding the course.
There are both women and men's clubs for those who wish to golf with a group on a regular basis, and many tournaments for families, individuals, youth, children throughout the season.
Local groups such as men's hockey teams and local businesses use the golf course for tournaments and welcome everyone to join in. There is a growing interest from the youth of the area communities and we strive to nurture it.
After a round of golf it is pleasant to relax on the deck of the clubhouse (bring your own refreshments) and enjoy the unequaled scenery while listening to the meadowlarks, finches and all the other birds that share their sanctuary of peace with us. If you are quiet you may see the occasional deer passing through the fairways,as well as the pheasants and geese who share their home with us . Please watch for wildlife as you drive in the lane to the course. Deer and antelope are often seen crossing the lane.
The Miry Creek Golf course is maintained by dedicated volunteers who cherish the beautiful wild crocus, wildflowers and flowering cacti that bloom so freely on the course.
Many hours are spent by the volunteers keeping everything at its best for everyone's enjoyment.
All we ask from our fellow golfers is that you share the same love and respect for the course as we do.
Of course.. it wouldn't be the prairies unless there was the Prairie gopher who like to create new holes to challenge us. Although we would prefer them to use the rough they do make funny little partners for a round of golf !
We hope you will visit our unique course the next time you are in the area, and remember ...Keep it on the short stuff !
