PRIVATE PILOT TRAINING

 

CFE offers quality training by FAA Certificated Flight and Ground Instructors. Our aircraft are well maintained and fully equipped to meet any of your flight training requirements from Student Pilot through Commercial Pilot and Instrument Ratings, at very competitive prices.

 

Obtaining your Private Pilot Certificate is a personal accomplishment you can be very proud of. In addition to being a lot of fun, it shows your dedication to an exacting training program. The following are required items to obtain your Private Pilot Certificate:

 

3rd Class Medical Exam (Student Pilot Certificate-valid 2 years – 3 years under age 40)

Knowledge Test (Written Exam)

20 hours of Dual Instruction (required)

10 hours of Solo flight time (required)

10 hours either solo time, instructional or combination (making a total of 40 hours)

 

In order to give you a better idea of the cost of obtaining your Private Pilot Certificate, we have calculated the above items with our rates, based on the national average for completion:

New rules implemented in January of 2005 by the US Department of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Agency, all flight schools must obtain from each new enrollee before any instruction can commence a US passport or your original birth certificate with the embossed seal on it. Copies of either of these forms of ID must be kept on file. Other forms showing US citizenship are also acceptable talk with your instructor.

 

Payment policy: new students who reside in the state of Wisconsin will pay an initial payment of $300.00 at the first lesson which will be used toward their flight training to solo, and then be billed monthly. All out of state students and students wishing an accelerated program must pay a minimum of $500.00 on the first lesson and continue to pay a minimum of $500.00 blocks until their flight training is complete. Other financial arrangements may be possible with the approval of 2 directors.

 

In addition to these fees, there is a school enrollment of $500.00 payable at the time of solo and a yearly annual tuition fee of $475.00 these fees are subject to change and are non-refundable. Country Flying Education accepts cash or check for payment (no 3rd party checks) we do not accept credit cards at this time.
