Lily has gone through many trials and tribulations over the years, from the evil Orlena to the abduction of her daughter Faith to finding out she has an identical twin sister. This past year has turned out to be the most traumatic and soul searching one yet for Lily. Will she finally be happy in love? Will there ever be peace in her life? Doubt it! You could probably write a book on her life, but were gonna try and sum it up in a few paragraphs.... This is the biography of Lily Walsh Mason Snyder Grimaldi Santana Snyder.....

The brink of it all started in the stables of the Walsh Estate when a good looking boy name Holden Snyder was hired as the stable boy. Back then Lily was dating her childhood flame Dusty Donovan, who was about to be no match for the rugged looking guy standing in front of him. Lily the snobby little rich girl she was, denied any attraction she might of felt, but soon realized she was head over heels in love.

Lily and Holden soon after became engaged even though Lucinda disapproved. Having found out that Holden new about Lily's adoption, Lily ran into the arms of Dusty and lost her virginity to him...leaving Holden deavastated.

Lily then went on to marry Derrek Mason, a man who was sent to kill her for her money. The story changed, he fell and in love with her and later died trying to save her life. In the explosion Lily suffered scars on her face, which lead to her departure to have plastic surgery.

Returning to town (Lily now played by actress Heather Ratray) Lily struck up a relationship with Caleb, Holden's brother which drove Holden into the arms of Julie Wendall. They conceived a child Aaron Snyder.

Lily and Holden finally couldn't deny their feelings for one another any longer so they reconciled and were married in 1991. Things were not good when Lily miscarried her first pregnancy and went into a deep depression. Holden had to leave on a business trip to New York, while there he was mugged and lost all memory of Lily and their history. He asked Lily for a divorce, she then flew to Europe where she met the very wealthy, yet dangerous Damian Grimaldi. Upon her return Holden had regained his memory and wanted Lily back. Even though she was very much still in love with Holden she honored her wedding vows to Damian, that was untill one night Lily couldn't resist her love for Holden anymore. They ended up making love in the bell tower of the church. Lily became pregnant and later found out it was Damian's child, Holden then leaves town to a memory research facility. Somewhere in her relationship with Damian, Damian's mother Orleana hated Lily so she kidnapped her and drugged her. She escaped Orleana who was eventually killed in the whole charade.

Soon after Damian is involved in a plane crash where he is thought to be dead. Lily goes on her search to find out who was responsible for the crash. She meets Diego Santana and takes a liking to him, unbeknownst to her, she's found her man! To keep Diego from finding out that she knows about him, she agrees to marry him. Emma, Lily's grandmother, Holden's Mother....LONG STORY, but NO Lily and Holden are not blood related. Emma gets word to Holden of Damian's death and he decideds to come home. Upon his return he lurks out side of Lily's house and sees Lily and Diego kiss. Heartbroken, he goes to visit Lucinda before he takes off and leaves Oakdale again. Unfortunately, he and Lucinda get wind of Lily's plans to take down Diego. Lily is unaware of Holden's return. Diego learns that they are on to him on the eve of his wedding to Lily he locks Holden and Lucinda in the wine cellar. There, Lucinda and Holden bond and become extremely close FINALLY! Eventually they escape just before Diego is shot. Lily was charged for the murder, but Holden steps out from the woods and takes the blame. Knowing he really didn't do it he was let go and Lily was then charged and brought to prison where she met Molly Conlan.

Molly was Holden's first girlfried, Lily and she became friends while in prison and Lily never knew of the connection. The real murderer was caught and Lily was released from prison. Molly was also released and was offered to stay with Lily till she got on her feet. Lily goes home where she and Holden have become involved again and finally finds out about Molly and her attempt to steal Holden back. Molly informs Holden that they have a child together and go off in search for Abigail. While on their search Molly tries to seduce Holden by dressing up as Lily and drugging him to make him think she really is Lily. In the mean time Lily is searching for Holden and ends up finding them in bed together. She quietly goes back to Oakdale devastated and comes down with a rare heart disease which lands her in the hospital fighting for her life. Upon Holden's return, he is not allowed in the Hospital room, via strict orders from Lily. Eventually, Lily lets him in and tells him what she saw. She recovers, they reconsile and marry for the second time.

They become pregnant, but before they can settle down, Lily is kidnapped by David Stenbeck. She delivers her baby all alone in a cabin and un- beknownst to her David switches babies giving her Denise Maynard's child and he takes Faith (aka Belinda name given to her by Stenbeck) to raise as his own. Eventually during Faith's hopital visit a blood transfusion needs to be done and Lily and Holden find out then that they're daughter whom they were calling HOPE was not really theirs. Denise's gets her child back and Lily and Holden eventually get Faith back from David who is killed by Julia Lyndsay and Holden or so they thought...

The present day.... Lily is in search of info for some old love stories she finds, Simon Frasier shows up and tells her they are his grandfathers papers. While on the computer she gets in touch with a woman in New Jersey who knows of the woman in the letters. She goes down to meet her and is followed by Simon Frasier. She meets Rose D' Angelo an Atlantic City Showgirl and is stunned to find out this is her twin sister! Apparently Iva (Lily's biological mother) had no idea she even had twins! So in Jersey Simon is after a diamond which he believes is in the possession of Lily or Rose. He quickly finds it in Rose's head piece. Danger is around the corner.... his sister shows up firing at them and Lily and Rose are forced to split up leaving Rose in NJ and Lily off with Simon... not by choice. She was knocked unconcious and brought to Canada where Celia, Simon's sister met up with them and kidnapped them. She threw them off an airplane where they ended up stranded on an island for several months.... In the meantime Rose goes to Oakdale to meet Lily where she said she would be. She ends up taking Lily's place and falls in love with Holden, who knows something is different about her but just blows it off. Eventually he finds out the truth and goes off in search for Lily. Finding her making out with Simon on the island he becomes furious and then on the trip home Lily learns of Rose's acts. Lily can't believe Holden couldn't tell the difference between them and she has some unresolved issues with the Aussie she needs to come to terms with so Lily and Holden seperate. Lily goes to Simon whom she's falling for and talks him into marrying Katie Peretti so he can stay in the country. Having not worked for Lily's benefit, Lily starts thinking about what she really want's in her life so Lily leaves with the kids to the Galapagos Islands to do some soul searching leaving Holden and Rose behind only to get closer..... After all Holden told her he was done waiting for her to make up her mind. On her return from her vacation she's back to wanting to be with Holden. Everything was going smoothly untill Damian Grimaldi shows up! Which brings us to the current story MALTA where Holden and Luke are presumed dead, but in all reality are locked in an Opera house somewhere. Lily unlike everyone else in Oakdale is the only one who believes they are alive and is forced yet again to take off on a journey to put her family back together......
