AIDS and the eye 

AIDS or Acquired Immuno-Deficiency Syndrome is a disease caused by the HIV (Human Immuno-deficiency Virus).

In the eye, with AIDS there can be-

Multiple giant warts on eyelids
Kaposi's Sarcoma, which appears as a 'red lump' in the conjunctiva
Uveitis
Retinal infections, commonly with CMV, Herpes, Toxoplasma, Tuberculosis bacteria, Fungus like Candida

Specific drug treatment regimes are required and recurrence and complications are common.
