Eye Exams

You go to the eye doctor and find yourself surrounded by lots off machinery and you start wondering whether you are in a work-shop or in a doctor's clinic. Here is some info. on some of the equipment.

Lensometer :-

This looks like a laboratory compound microscope. It is used for reading the power of the glasses.

Phoropter :-

This is the machine in which you sit, while your vision testing is being done.

Besides this-

Synoptophore- used in squint exam,
Corneal Topographer
Digital camera for Fluorescein Angiography (FFA)
Lasers- YAG laser, Argon laser, Diode Laser, Excimer laser
Ultrasonography
X-Ray
CTScan
MRI

is the other machinery that may be required.
