Step 1.Start with this photo of Caleb and his friend, Ian. The photo was taken by David in Tarrytown.Step 2. Use Photoshop to create a background layer that is going to be a dark blue background with highlighting. We call that the background layer.
Step 3: Use Photoshop to crop Ian out of the photo and then make a silhouette of Caleb. That is Layer 1.
Step 4. You guessed it. With the magic of Photoshop and the skill of Poppalou, place the silhouette image layer in front of the blue background layer.
Step 5. Flatten (merge) all the layers and, presto, you have the portrait, a father-and-son effort.
.On the same day as this photo was taken, David took another photo of Caleb and it is an excellent portrait without any enhancement. You'll love it.
