Kitten Rescue is a non-profit
organization located in the Los Angeles area, devoted to rescuing
needy kittens and cats (like me!) from shelter euthanasia and
abandonment. They provide their rescued cats with any necessary
medical attention and ongoing treatment to establish their health,
while caring for them in foster homes, where they're given abundant
love and affection. We like that part the best.
Kitten Rescue
presents cats for adoption regularly at locations in the San
Fernando Valley and on L.A.'s West side, in addition to conducting
private adoptions during the week, with the goal of finding loving,
committed homes for every animal they take in. They also offer
education and help to the public regarding all aspects of
responsible pet ownership, care of kittens and cats, and the
importance of spaying and neutering.
Speaking of
which...Kitten Rescue cats don't go to their new homes until they're
tested for FELV/FIV, spayed or neutered, given their first FVRCP
shot (youch!), de-fleaed, and de-wormed. I know the adopters
appreciate it...and believe me, we kitties do too
A Proud
(and Lucky) Mama Linda and her six kittens were scheduled for death
at the shelter when Kitten Rescue volunteers stepped in, adopted
them out of the shelter, and placed them together in a foster home.
As you can see, they were a happy and grateful family. All the
babies and Linda herself were adopted to loving homes.
