L.A.E.E. is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting folk music, culture and arts. We celebrated 22 years of service in January 1999. Our membership is around 250. Our activities involve a dancing group, a large number of studies and publications, a folklore collection, cultural events and exchanges, and participation in European Union programmes. Most of the members of the group come from Elassona (a 15000 populated town). Elassona is situated 40km from the nearest city Larissa (Thessaly, central Greece) and 20km from the famous mountain "Olympus".
