During its travels, the folk dancing group "Laografiki Archeologiki Eteria Elassonas" presented music and dance art of greek folklore to foreign audiences who have spoken highly of its peformances. In many performances the group won prizes in international competitions for the authentic national dress and its accurate presentation of folk dances and the variety of rythms and melodies of the music. In its dancing programme, there are many old greek dances and some new ones ("ZORBAS", "HASAPIKO", "SIRTAKI"). These dances (old and new) are from all the parts of Greece. The main characteristic of our dances is the authenticity. All dances come from the preceding generations without changes (authentic steps, music and dresses-costumes). Some of these dances come from the area of the famous mount "Olympus"

The Folk dancing group is a "Live Piece" of the "Cultural" Elassona and it is a worthy representative of this historic town in Greece and abroad.
