Lactochem Limited was set up as a joint sector company with
Tamil Nadu Industrial Development
Corporation to manufacture
Lactic acid and other derivatives of Lactic acid. The Company had
its own process technology to produce Natural grade(+) Lactic acid
from cane sugar molasses.The factory was built at Tiruvallur, 40 kms
from Chennai, in 1994. The company has established the production
technology and produces very good quality products.
Canbank Venture Capital Fund Ltd. & Gujarat Venture Capital
Finance Ltd. have invested in equity.
Lactochem is very much focused on Lactic Acid and
other derivatives
of Lactic Acid. The company is presently working on a scheme to increase
the production capacity manyfold.
