Zira is the main bad critter of Simba's Pride. She does not make an appearance in The Lion King, in fact she seems to have popped mysteriously out of nowhere for the second movie, but she is a strong character. Burning for revenge for Scar's death, she plots to kill Simba and take control of Pride Rock, using her maybe/maybe-not son Kovu. Eventually her own people betray her and she falls to her death. Sound familiar? Suzanne Pleshette does a great job with her voice, very expressive and evil-sounding. Also one of the best voice actors in the seires. What is it with bad critters?

Suzanne is a veteran of showbusiness. She was born in 1937 (making her 62!!) in NY, NY. She has been in TONS os TV shows and movies including The Bob Newhart Show, The Birds, and Oh! God II. Her most recent work besides Simba's Pride is the TV drama Battling for Baby in 1992.
