when i first started getting into united future organization i found it really
hard to find any information about the band. since then i have found a little
information but no real interviews or anything in depth that i could read at
least. but what follows is what i have been able to piece together from the
little i have found. the pictures on this page are from their album no sound
is too taboo
.

the band formed in 1990. consisting of tadashi yabe, toshio matsura, and
raphael sebbag. tadashi and toshio from japan and raphael being an expatriate
born in morrocco but brought up in paris. the band resides in japan.

they released their first single, a 12 inch in 1991 called "i love
my baby (and my baby loves jazz)". it became a hit on the u.k.
jazz station kiss fm. and ended up on the top of the people's
choice award.

their song "the planet plan" was originally aiming at inclusion
on the soundtrack for the remake of "mission impossible" but in
the end didn't end up there.

other than your usual propaganda about bands put out by
record labels i haven't found much other information on
the band.

their discography not including singles looks something like this:

jazzin' released in 1992 on the zero corporation label.

united future organization released in 1993(i've read
that this was released in 1994 so i'm not sure which is correct.) on the brownswood label.

no sound is too taboo released in 1994 on the brownswood label.

remix ufo released in 1995 on the brownswood label.

cosmic gypsy ep released in 1995 released on the brownswood label.

3rd perspective released in 1996 on the brownswood label.

the planet plan ep released in 1996 on the brownswood label.


the spicy remix. a 7 track disc only released in
japan(as far as i know.) of remixes. released in
1997.

now and then. (best remixed 91-97) a double disc
only released in japan. one disc being remixes and
one a greatest hits package. released in 97.

bon voyage released in 1999 on the brownswood label.
