Martha Elizabeth "Patsy" Johnson (Carroll) and Descendents Martha Elizabeth, nicknamed "Patsy", is the second oldest known child to Jesse & Sarah (behind her big brother Daniel). According to the U.S. Census and her gravestone, she was born in South Carolina on Sept. 15th, 1825. She married Mr. David Carroll (a brother or cousin of Daniel's wife Rebecca), his third marriage, and their known children are listed below. Patsy died on Oct. 21, 1896, thirty two years after her husband's passing and they are buried in the Carroll Cemetary in Ozark, AL. |

Martha Elizabeth "Patsy" Johnson's children Patsy married DAVID CARROLL who was born on Feb. 14th, 1800 (in N.C.), his third marriage. He was her senior by twenty five years and when he passed away as the Civil War was winding down, she continued to live another thirty two years as his widow. We assume they were married circa 1858.
