| Notes: 1. James Morgan's will was proved in Nash County
Court in 1781 and named his wife, Elizabeth and children: John,
James, Henry, Hardy, Stone, and Bette Cealle. According to Rocky
Strickland's web site there was a James Morgan born January 17, 1707
in Perquimans County, NC and it is highly possible that this is our James
Morgan although it is not proven.
2. Bennett Smith's father was Benjamin Smith who died in Nash county in
1799. According to information from Annie Pearl Brantley, Benjamin
was killed by a slave named Ben. |
