Christopher Sherrod Brantley 

He was 5'10½" tall.   Answered muster roll June and February.  Detailed in hospital as nurse Sept. 2, 1862 and returned to his company Oct 10, 1862.  May and June 1863 wounded, in hospital.   Promoted to corporal Nov. 30, 1863. Wounded May 3, 1863 in the Battle of Chancellorsville.  Was in Clopton Hospital.  Died January 5, 1864.

 

Micah A. Brantley

He was 5'8" tall.  January 29, 1862 Gunshot wound to thigh and transferred to Wilson, NC hospital Feb(?), 7, 1862. June 22, 1862 wounded in battle below Richmond and in hospital. March - April 1863 absent. May - June 1863 Detailed as shoemaker, Raleigh, NC. Present Sept - October 1863.  Present Nov - Dec 1863. Jan- Feb 1863 on furlough 18 days in NC.  Mar-April 1864, May-Jun 1864, Jul-Aug 1864, Sept-Oct 1864 present 

 

Orren Brantley

Taken prisoner in the engagement below Newbern, March 14, 1862.  Nov 6, Paroled and exchanged prisoner, In hospital in Richmond and Farmville, VA.  Gunshot would in left leg.  Aug 12, 1864 Syphalis Primitiva, returned to duty Sept 30, 1864.
