Audine Camera Component availability in Australia (in AUS$)
Most electronic parts can be obtained from Dick Smith, Farnell, Jaycar, TECs (Melbourne) etc.
The MAX333 ($12), AD713 ($16), AD976 ($68) can be obtained from Lockhart in one off quantities. |

The Melcor TEC can be obtained from Lastek at $66 + $15 freight. Melcor (in the US) sell them for considerably less, but will not deal directly with Australian customers. An alternative may be to use a larger unit (40mm x 40mm) available from Oatley Electronics at a much lower cost (about $25). |

The Special 26 wire ribbon cable is available from Farnell but is very expensive. |

The PC boards may be ordered directly from Essentiel Electroniques - the so called Kit #0 (without the special cable). I just sent US$30 in notes (I know that this is a bit risky but the alternative is considerably more expensive). |

The CCD is available directly from Kodak in the US. Credit cards are an acceptable form of payment. Freight costs are included in the price. Duties and sales tax may alter the landed price. Go to the web site for spec sheets, sales and ordering information. |

The box is available from Dick Smith Electronics ($15). Product No H2238. |

The other hardware (eyepiece tube, cold finger) I had made locally for less than $100. Most computer suppliers will be able to supply a CPU heatsink/cooler - select one that is reasonably solid and has a ball-bearing fan (to reduce vibration). Should be around $15-$20. |

Computer power supplies can be obtained from most computer suppliers ($40 - $60) or from an old computer. Oatley Electronics often have suitable power supplies at low cost. I made the +/- 15V power supply using adjustable regulators together with a 30V 150mA centre-tapped transformer ($8) from Jaycar. |

Note: All up cost for my camera was around $700 (including the Kodak special KAF-401 sale)
