The USCGC Sitkinak is a 110 foot patrol boat suited mainly for Search & Rescue and law enforcement. The class was constructed in 3 batches, with various modifications and improvement made with each batch. The Sitkinak was constructed with the second batch and was placed into commission in 1989. The Sitkinak has a crew of 18, a maximum speed of 30 knots, and although intended for 10-14 day patrols, they have been making patrols for as long as 60 days. The Sitkinak is home ported in Key West, FL. The patch shows the cutter with a marlin underneath and the outline of florida and the big dipper above.
