USCGC Seneca (WMEC-906)

The USCGC Seneca is a 270' Famous Class Medium Endurance Cutter. All the ships of this class are named after former Coast Guard cutters. The primary missions are law enforcement and search & rescue. These cutters carry out medium range patrols and are usually under way from 60-90 days. The Seneca was commissioned in May of 1987, has a crew of 100 and a maximum speed of approximately 18 knots. The cutter is currently home ported in Boston, MA. The ship is depicted on the patch. This particular patch was made for all three Boston cutters, and the on difference is the name and hull number.
