USCGC Monomoy (WPB-1326)

The USCGC Monomoy is a 110 foot patrol boat suited mainly for Search & Rescue and law enforcement. The class was constructed in 3 batches, with various modifications and improvement made with each batch. The Monomoy was constructed with the 2nd batch and was placed into commission in 1989. The Monomoy has a crew of 18, a maximum speed of 30 knots, and although intended for 10-14 day patrols, they have been making patrols for as long as 60 days. The Grand Isle is home ported in Woods Hole, Mass. The patch depicts the cutter with a may of the North East, a cuttermans insignia and an indian head, which I would assume has a reference to the cutter's name.
