USCGC Escanaba (WMEC-907)

The USCGC Escanaba is a 270' Famous Class Medium Endurance Cutter. All the ships of this class are named after former Coast Guard cutters. The primary missions are law enforcement and search & rescue. These cutters carry out medium range patrols and are usually under way from 60-90 days. The Escanaba was commissioned in 1987, has a crew of 100 and a maximum speed of approximately 18 knots. The cutter is currently home ported in Boston, MA. The ship is depicted on the patch.
