The USCGC Edisto was a 269 foot IceBreaker that originally was commissioned as a US Navy ship. Commissioned in 1947 as AGB-2, the ship was transfered to the Coast Guard in 1965. The Edisto collided with the USS Mizar in 1972 and was decommissioned in 1974.
