From my trip journal (Continued): Anyway, we took pictures, we hugged...we talked a mile a minute...I told him I would be back tomorrow...with the girls, especially with Linda who gave me the Cabrillo program...he will meet us after the show. Merrill
told me I should stay over to see Joanne but there was no available space
on the train on Wednesday...and I got the last room on Thursday.
David
said he would be moving to NYC the following Monday...sooner than
expected...I told him I would be there in April. He
was so wonderful...everything I always knew he was. My three "dates" all thought he was a
fantastic singer...and a great guy. Even
Jeff, the skeptic, was impressed. I
told him, can you understand now that he is more than just some singer? I think he was totally surprised by David....and seemed
to really like him and finally understand where I have been coming from. I
also met Bill Hutton...the Original Broadway Cast "Joseph"...very
nice man. We chatted a few
moments. Also met Dorian
Harewood...he hugged me too...I told him we had seen him in Seattle in
"Kiss of the Spider Woman", and that he MUST do more shows as no
one knows he can sing...He said he plans to
do
exactly that.
Good news...he is terrific. Ted
told me later, that David had told him that I had totally blown him away by
coming down... and that he loved being surprised. I know I am babbling...just writing out each memory as it comes back...but it was just perfect...absolutely and totally perfect. There was a cast party at Joely Fisher's and we were all dead tired so tore myself away, with great difficulty and will see him tomorrow! Continued on next page.
