We enjoyed a catered meal, took lots of photos, and were treated to the "ROC Cheerleaders" performing their "Ballfest" routine!  Later, almost everyone donned their ROC tee-shirts and caps and photos were taken for Michael and ROC.

There was a successful raffle, featuring Michael Ball items from the 1997 concert tour, and an exciting and very successful auction of merchandise received that very morning from Phil Bowdery's office, featuring a huge variety of things and including several autographed items from Michael.  We were especially delighted that Michael addressed many of those items to Ballfest 99.  Bidding was spirited, frantic, fun, and though some of us went home a bit poorer financially, we happily now possess some truly one-of-a-kind items, and every single penny will be going to ROC...which we are sure will please Michael, John McGowan and ROC!  Thanks go to Sharon and Blair for a delightful and exciting contribution of time, and hard work...and to John McGowan for his endorsement, Michael and Phil for the wonderful assortment of memorabilia...and to everyone who took part in this project!

We were also treated to a delightful talent show, featuring several members of our group and put together by Linda Bates.  Thanks to a great and talented group of performers and to Linda for putting this all together for us.

There were also other surprises for those of us who attended -  commemorative sports bottles from Sharon; Ballfest campaign buttons (made and donated by Estelle Schmoeller); MB Warning Labels from me; MB photos, a lovely frame-able friendship poem from Estelle, and more things than I can even remember.

I know I have probably left out a ton of things, and I apologize for that, but as you can see, there is and was a lot to remember!

I do want to thank EVERYONE who made this event possible and even more wonderful than we ever dared to dream: our Ballfest committee chairpersons and committee members; my husband and family; the Ballfest '99 attendees (including moms, and husbands of our group members); our Ballfest Newsletter family and friends; Michael Ball fans everywhere; the Michael Ball Fan Club and mailing list; the Michael Ball amulation list; ROC; Phil Bowdery; and especially our inspiration...Michael Ball.
