A Michael Ball Christmas

Tis Christmas, time to deck the hall
with the wondrous sounds of Michael Ball

Driving home for Christmas is out of sight
With your CD blasting O Holy Night.

A Silent Night would be so sad
When A Winter's Tale could make you glad

About a  night When A Child Is Born
And the earth rejoices the following morn

Go down by the River pray on one knee
Ave Maria will keep you company.

Christmas is the time to Light a Candle
for all those with too much to handle

To friends coming From A Distance
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

And, oh yeah, Happy New Year too!

Hello, all!
Martha and Jackie, congratulations on your poems!  You seem to  be on a roll!  Here is a little limerick for you! (well, sort of..)

An Untitled Limerick

There once were two poets who loved Mr. Ball.
Writing odes to Michael was their call.
Jackie's poems prove we're not all nuts!
Martha's rhymes hint at our lust!
These two "noble" rhymers speak for us all,
in expressing their love for Michael Ball!

Everything I need to know in life I learned from Michael Ball...

We have to find the keys to open the vaults of heaven.
Shaking your tail feathers is a lot of fun!
It's cold when your love's on the rocks.
We have all the time in the world.
I've got something inside so strong.
I believe I can fly.
Everybody needs somebody to love.
Every major event in my life has a piece of music associated with it,

and it makes the memory clearer and better.
But most of all, I've learned that live or perish in its flame.
Love will never, never let you be the same!

Kellie Jo,

Sounds great!  May I add one more line?

Remember to take life ONE STEP AT A TIME!

Favorite Venue

The question has been asked,
I've given careful thought
To where I'd like to see you most
If a ticket could be bought.

I'd love to see a concert,
A musical, or film.
I'd so enjoy an interview
Those chances would be slim.

If I had but one sole choice
To witness all your charms,
T'would be to hear a lullaby
With Connor in your arms.

For Michael

I see you looking so weary,

            and it fairly breaks my heart;

So many things I'd like to tell you...

how on earth do I start?

We are not friends or family,

            yet I feel a strange bond -

you're a man who's inspired and comforted me,

someone of whom I've grown fond.

You don't even know me, nor I you -

is it presumptuous then of me to voice

these things that only a good friend should,

and why do I feel that I have no choice?

You're the man who presumably has everything

and yet, you often seem to lack the norm.

How can I tell you that when I see you looking tired and worn,

I wish you were home with Cathy, safe and warm?

How can I tell you that the show doesn't have to go on,

that you should first take care of you?

That as much as seeing a Michael Ball concert can mean,

you mean more - you really do!

How can I explain what your voice and your music do for me-

that you make me feel joy, love, security, hope, and so much more?

How can I repay you for the friendships garnered, a wondrous added benefit -

how could I possibly attempt to even this unsettled score?

I wish I could give you these hugs I send mentally,

with thanks for all of the good things you have brought to me.

No, we don't know each other, yet you hold a special place in my heart,

in the place once reserved just for family and friends, or so it seemed to be....

I Think

I've been reading the poems with interest
And thought that I'd have a try
Though poetry's not my best subject
Here's one about my fave guy.
==========

I think I'm in love with a Michael
There's a footballer with the same name.
My Michael's a championship singer
And he makes all the others seem lame.

Oh I think I'm in love with a Michael.
Not Bolton despite what they think
Why's nobody heard of my Michael?
Their questions could drive me to drink!

Oh yes, I'm in love with a Michael.
Michael Ball's the one I adore
If I could have what I wanted for Christmas
It would be to see Michael more.

I have to say, that as a poet, I make a good care assistant, but I thought I'd have a go.  This is just something that I thought up whilst doing the ironing, and I think it's as good as you're ever going to get from me.

Love to all

IT'S A BALL WORLD

(sung to the tune of "It's a Small World")

It's a world of dimples, a world of hair

It's a world of leather casual wear

What's there not to like, let's all be like Mike

It's a Ball world after all

It's a world of song, it's a world of dance;

It's a world of women tossing underpants

And when Mike rocks, we grab at his socks

It's a Ball world after all

It's A Ball World After All

It's A Ball World After All

It's A Ball World After All

It's A Ball Ball Ball Ball World

It's a world of fans lurking at stage doors

Waiting for the guy we all long to adore

When he finally appears we all shift into gear

It's a Ball world after all

It's a world of laughter, a world of tears

After all, we've loved Mike for a number of years

Some say we're obsessed, but I have to confess

It's a Ball world after all

It's A Ball World After All

It's A Ball World After All

It's A Ball World After All

It's A Ball Ball Ball Ball World

Michael

He is the soothing thought
At the end of a long day
The cheering smile
In a daydream
The melting eyes and voice
To drift away in

Different from all others
He lifts and sooths in one beat
Bringing us in
To the story in a song
Sharing the pain, the passion
The beauty and drama of life

Michael Ball

Michael Ball, Michael Ball...
There's so much you have done...
From Longleat to the Royal Albert Hall...
Millions of hearts you've won...

Your powerful and booming voice...
Your charm and boyish grin...
Leave us without a choice...
And cause our dreams to begin.

At the end of a hard day...
Filled with worry and strife...
For us there is only one way...
To relax and enjoy life.

Whether it's a CD that we hear...
Or a movie that we see...
Gone is our unnecessary fear...
For your music is our key.

There is one more thing I have to say...
Thank you so very much Michael Ball...
I am so glad that on that frosty January day...
I decided to answer your call.

    MICHAEL'S DREAM

Behind his eyes
So clear and blue
I see his soul
And wish he knew
The man I see
So strong and giving.
The dream was his
That he's been living.
At times the dream
Takes twists and turns
But to it's path
It will return.
It seems that his dream
Asked a toll
Before continuing
Towards it's goal.
But once achieved,
I pray he'll see
The dream fulfilled
Was meant to be.

Michael...... You and Your Voice........

Its a magic carpet ride,
On splendid plush rich woven tapestry,
Upon which my heart, spirit and soul can glide,
Over the jagged peaks, plains and rushing waterfalls of life.

Far, far away from the everyday dimensions,
Strong, luxurious, seductive, rich, true yet velvet and gentle,
Off into another world of people, places and emotions,
Where my whole being is captivated but at rest.

Michael....... The Man and his VOICE...... AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

 My Friend Michael Ball

From the moment that I saw you live,
I just seemed to know,
That we would get on famously,
And you'd cheer me when I'm low.

Sure enough it happened,
It went from strength to strength,
There were lots of laughs and everything,
I wont go on at length.

But when you leave the stage,
I know its not the end,
For you start the show an idol,
And leave it as my friend.

ODE TO MICHAEL

What can I say about Michael Ball
Except that I'm in awe
of his talent.

Handsome and tall,
Even when mobbed by one and all,
he remains gallant.

When he comes to sing
Love Changes Everything,
I just melt.

The way he expresses the lyric,
Its like the first time you're hearing it,
So heart felt.

His accent's so cute
It gives me a hoot,
I get all wobbly.

He's English you see
Always drinking his tea
and saying "lovely."

He likes to joke and "do voices,"
And I do like his choices
in dress.

When all's said and done,
He's oodles of  fun,
Way ahead of the rest.

The dimpled smile and curly hair
make you oh so aware
you've been smitten.

The way he gets in the groove
makes you want to pick up and move
to Great Britain.
