Using Wraith's editor I've
edited BotF ships so that they more better reflect the
Star Trek universe. Changes: Galaxy X II, Defiant have cloak, Nor-class Space station is incredibly powerful, Negh'Var flagship (formerly Negh'Var II strike cruiser) is the most powerful ship. Galor has the best armour. Defiant has ablative armour. London class renamed Pike-class for transports, Mars-class for colony ships. McKinley-class space stations, Deep Space-class outposts. Bigger ships are faster than smaller ships. Goront and Ooron exchange ship type. Ferengi vessles are not as powerful and cost less and have a lower maintenance cost. Cardassians have way more hull armour than other species but have weaker weapons. Galaxy X II is the most powerful Federation ship, but has less shields than Soveriegn. Klingon ships generally have the strongest beam weapons, Romulans generally have the strongest torpedoes. Outposts and starbases are much more powerful, but also have a higher maintenance cost. The Borg have been altered so that they have significant hull armour and shielding but do not destroy vessles in one shot like before also the borg have shield draining torpedoes. & more. 1. find stbotf.res in your botf directory
and change the extension from .res to .zip and open it up
with Winzip.
2. find your shiplist.sst copy
it and keep it safe in some other folder. delete the
shiplist.sst in Winzip and replace it with this one. Do the same for the shipdesc.sst file.
3. close it up and remember to
change your extension back to .res before you start up
the game.
