Four-Star General Eric Shinseki
Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army

General Eric Shinseki became the 34th Chief of Staff of the United States Army on June 22,1999. He was a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy and Duke University. He is the first Asian American to reach the ranks of Four-Star General and is also the first Asian American in the history of the U. S. Military to serve as Chief of Staff.
