Basic Combustion Gun

Parts

  • 4' long of 1.5" PVC pipe for the barrel

  • 1' long of 3" PVC pipe for the combustion camber

  • A pipe reducer from 3" to 1.5"

  • An end cap holder

  • An end cap

  • PVC glue

  • Coleman lamp sparker

Assembly

  • Get all your parts ready for assembly.

  • Cut all your pipes to the correct length using a saw.

  • Take the end cap holder and glue it onto the end combustion chamber pipe (Fatter, sorter one) Make sure you Don't get glue into the threads.

  • Take the 3" to 1.5" reducer and glue the 3" end to the other side of the combustion chamber.

  • Next glue the barrel to the other end of the reducer.

  • Drill a hole in the center of the end cap. Make sure the bit is the size of the sparker.

  • Take the sparker and screw it into the hole you made in step 6.

  • Let it dry over night, then your ready to fire

Firing

 

      Now lets get on to firing. You will need a ram-rod, a simple broom stick will do, and a board. Take your spud and rest it atop of the barrel. Next take the board and hit it square to cut the edges off. Then take the rammer and push it down the barrel. Careful not to push it into the combustion chamber! It is best to make a mark on the rammer to see how far to push it down. With the potato down, get your hairspray and spray about 3-7 seconds in the combustion chamber, then put the cap on right when your done spraying. Now, be Careful were you aim! Twist the sparker and C'ya potato.
