Review

I bought the 35mm to replace the 40mm meade 4000 because I didn't like the long eye relief which made the meade a chore to use. The 35 is impressive in size and weight. It is at least a large as the meade probably because of the extra element. I was quite impressed with the quality of the view it gives. The contrast was noticably sharper with it than the meade. It was sharp edge to edge and the stars were very crisp points. It still has a lot of eye relief but not as much as the 40mm. It comes with a winged eyecup that I ordered for the rest of my eps. It really does block out the light coming from the outside and I use an eyepatch on my other eye making it darn near as good as putting a black cloth over my head. In my opinion, it is a very nice addition to my eps. The only down side is that it doesn't come with one of those neat plastic containers to store it in. I like it.
