
The International Children's Choir, whose existence was inspired by the song, "Let There Be Peace On Earth" has been delighting audiences around the world with song and dance since 1957. Comprised of children ages five to seventeen years of age, dressed in authentic costumes representative of their own unique ethnic heritage. The International Children's Choir is a celebration of our similarities and differences.
In 1966, the choir opened the well-known attraction, "It's A Small World", at Disneyland and received a gold record for the recording of the ride's theme song. In 1984, the Choir was part of the opening ceremonies of the XXII Olympic Games in Los Angeles, California. In 1986, the Choir performed for Pope John Paul at the Los Angeles Coliseum as part of his American Papal tour. They also sang for President Reagan and former first lady Barbara Bush.
Over the past decade, Choir members have experienced many special opportunities in spreading the message of peace. A few highlights include:

- Performing with Alabama at the 5oth Anniverary of the American Country Music Awards.
- Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the United Nations

- Riding on the 1996 Rose Parade Float for the city of Long Beach.
- Hosting the Aurora Children's Choir from Yekateinburg, Russia
- Performing for the Grand Opening of the Long Beach Bike Station
- Traveling to Sochi, Russia to perform in the International Children's Folk Festival
- Singing with David Foster for the beginning of the Coca-Cola Olympic Torch Relay.
- Welcoming the World in the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games at the Coca-Cola Olympic City.
- Honoring the Children of Atlanta and the World with concert entitled, "A Peace Pal Celebration" at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA
- Singing for the 40th Anniversary Conference of People to People International
- Singing at the House of Blues for the world famous Gospel Brunch
- Performing at the White House for the Congressmen, their staffs, and families.
- Singing at Sea World for the Holiday Music Festival

- Singing at the International Friendship Festival in Santa Maria, CA
- Traveling to Centeral Europe to perform in a People to People Concert Tour in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, and the Solvac Republic.

The Choir has been featured on television with such celebrities as The Judds, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Shirley Jones, Johnny Mathis, Andy Williams, Dionne Warwick, Ben Vereen, Michael Jackson, Alabama, David Foster, Millennium, Richard Carpenter, Michael Sembello, Daniel Jobim, Vinnie Colaiuta, Edu Falcau, Toshi Kubota, and many others.
Internationally, the choir has carried their musical message of peace to many parts of the world, inclduing Mexico, Finland, Israel, Switzerland, Russia, and the Soviet Union.
President Dwight D. Eisenhower called the International Children's Choir,
"The world's littlest ambassadors." Through song and dance the Choir continues
to carry on the tradition of spreading the message of peace and goodwill
throughout the world. Though the voice and faces may change, the message
remains the same: "Let There Be Peace On Earth And Let It Begin With
Me!"
