DDR
Main Page Dance Dance Revolution USA (USA/Canada): Combination of 2nd Mix and 3rd Mix songs...not up to most DDRers' standards. But new DDRers will find it to be quite a challenge w/ Catastrophics. Dance Dance Revolution Internet Ranking (USA/Japan/Asia/UK/Canada): YES THIS GAME CAME OUT IN THE US. Some ppl don't believe it, I played this one at Circus Circus in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Pretty good, but I wasn't too good when I played this game. Dance Dance Revolution 1.5 (USA/Asia/UK/Canada/Japan): This is the machine almost everyone knows about here in the US. It has a combination of the Internet Ranking songs and 2nd ReMix songs. Dance Dance Revolution 2nd Mix (USA/Japan/Asia/UK/Canada): One of the coolest sequels. It has a ton of songs, step battle and non-stop megamixes!! Dance Dance Revolution 3rd Mix (USA/Japan/Asia/UK/Canada): THERE ARE 3RD MIX MACHINES IN THE US!! Too bad they're not widely distributed.....again they're only in California as of now. This is the best machine you could get, it has songs from all the previous DDR games! Dance Dance Revolution 4th Mix (USA/Japan/Asia): Released August 2000. The final version of 4th Mix has over 100 songs!! 13 new songs by Naoki and more! This is the normal two panel DDR machine, check below for 4th Mix Solo version. SoCal has some of these machines. Dance Dance Revolution 5th Mix (USA/Japan/Asia): Released March 2001. An OK game...not as great as 4th Mix Plus. Dance Dance Revolution Max: 6th Mix (USA/Japan/Asia): Released Fall 2001. Of course this game will be imported by some arcades in the US. 48 NEW songs...a change from the normal rehash of old DDR songs and 2 new songs...haha. DDR has evolved and contains FREEZE arrows now. Similar to PPP freeze arrows, you have to hold down on the arrow. All new songs and a new way to play DDR. DDR Club Mixes (USA?/Japan/Asia): One of the best of the club mixes is DDR 2nd Mix w/ Beatmania II DX Substream. It hooks a Beatmania II w/ a DDR machine. The person playing Beatmania picks the song, the person on the DDR machine has to dance while the other guy DJ's. Cool game, just don't kill the other guy if he picks a song you don't like...I believe there are some in SoCal. Dancing Stage Featuring True Kiss Destination (Japan/Asia): This is getting really popular almost everywhere. I hear ppl raving in the Philippines about it. True Kiss Destination is a J-pop group that originated in New York, struck a deal with Konami and made a DDR game that has their songs!! Dancing Stage Featuring Dreams Come True (Japan/Asia): Another sequel that ppl are talking about.....this time with another group called Dreams Come True. I have no info on the group as of now, but I'll try to get more information (Don't believe me?? I will get more info. Today is 3/4 by the way....) DDR Solo Bass Mix (Japan/Asia/USA): Konami took it to another level that you'd expect ppl to actually like: 6 arrows. Some ppl can't get used to this. I played this game, and I SUCK!! Maybe I'm not used to it yet, but the screen messes me up. It's wide and makes me feel like I gotta move a farther distance to go from left to right. I don't know, gotta get used to it. DDR Solo 2000 (Japan/Asia/USA?): I don't know, I don't hear about this game a lot. Nobody talks about it. Must be another hated sequel, but who knows, could be good. I think it's pretty good cause you can put it on 3 arrows (up-left, up-right and down), the normal 4 arrows (up, down, left, right), or all six arrows. Cool, but I'll stick w/ 4 arrows. Dance Dance Revolution 4th Mix Solo (USA/Japan/Asia): Released August 2000. The final version of 4th Mix Solo will have over 100 songs!! 13 new songs by Naoki and more! 6 arrows suck!! I mean...I suck at 6 arrows....;) Dancing Stage Euromix (UK): I can't say, but I've heard the UK has their own version of DDR that has songs that Japan doesn't have. From what I remember, I saw "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor, "Gimme Gimme Gimme" by E-rotic and some other songs I forgot the names of. You can check out the songlist in the DDR Songlists section. ONLY in the UK. DDR 3rd Mix w/ K-Pop upgrade (Korea): I don't know if that's the exact name, but it's a 3rd Mix machine with some Korean Pop songs. ONLY in Korea. So where's the US Mix with all the songs you hear on the radio? It should be coming soon if Konami really wants to make some money. Are you listening to what I'm saying, Konami? (Of course they're listening but I can't say more than that....) DDR 3rd Mix PLUS (USA/Japan/Asia): This game has all songs from the 3rd Mix game for PSX. Added were After the Game of Love, Cutie Chaser, Drop the Bomb, La Senorita Virtual, some Korean Dance Songs, Bumble Bee, and Gimme Gimme Gimme. Dance Dance Revolution 4th Mix PLUS (USA/Japan/Asia): Released December 28, 2000. Includes all 150 songs from 4th Mix AND 14 new songs!! Possibly the best DDR game because the select-a-genre-and-play-only-those-songs feature has been eliminated!! Dance Dance Revolution 5th Mix (USA/Japan/Asia): Released ?. Includes a lot of new songs and old favorites in an all song selection mode. Choose your song by alphabetical listings. Ohasta DDR (Japan/Asia?): A very small machine meant for children. A limited number of songs, difficulties set for kids from ages 5 to 12. DDR Disney's Rave (Japan/Asia?): Another mini-machine meant for children. Some good songs on it, especially Night of Fire. Difficulties set for kids from ages 5 to 12. DDR Karaoke Version (Japan):This has to be the ultimate DDR. There are only 2 in existence cause they are way too damn expensive. You have a karaoke studio with someone in there picking the song and singing it. Outside of that room, there are some DDR machines hooked up to that machine. The person playing the DDR machine plays to the song that is being sung. I remember seeing somewhere where exactly this thing is located, but I forgot. Sorry!! One more thing, why is this the ultimate DDR?? 3,000 + songs good enough for ya?? And seeing that it's a karaoke machine, I bet you could add a million more songs!! |
