Carl Benderling:

Born: January 28, 1855 in Bohemia (possibly in Hirschbergen).

Died: September 6, 1928 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Buried: September 8, 1928 at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Oshkosh.

Spouse: Theresia Schröder. Married in 1883.

Address: 532 11th St. (1900 census) 1130 10th St. (1928).

Immigration: 1883.

Occupation: Laborer at Lutz Stone Quarry.

 

Note: Carl was injured from a dynamite blast while at the quarry. A large rock struck him in the back creating a decent sized crater there, which never healed.

 

Note: The name Benderling should most likely be Penderling or Penterling, derived from Pendelin and/or Pendel per research in the Hirschbergen area.

 

Theresia Schröder:

Born: May of 1855 in Bohemia (possibly in Hirschbergen).

Died: December 10, 1919 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Buried: December 13, 1919 at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Oshkosh.

Spouse: Carl Benderling.

Immigration: 1883.

Born: August 1887 in Oshkosh.

Died: November 1932 in Oshkosh.

Buried: November 7, 1932 at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Oshkosh.

 

John Benderling:

Born: May 10, 1890 in Oshkosh.

Note: Served in WW1. Had a silver plate in his head as a result of war injury.

 

Sabina Benderling:

Born: October 1892 in Oshkosh.

Spouse: Emil Wolf.

 

Frank Benderling:

Born: April 1895 in Oshkosh.

Died: January 1919 in Oshkosh.

Buried: January 2, 1919 at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Born: October 30, 1843 in Bischofsreut.

Buried: January 30, 1919 at St. Vincent, Oshkosh.

I have much more information on the later generations of these ancestors and some information on the earlier generations and would love to share. Does anybody have information or pictures of my ancestors? Any other information or corrections would be greatly appreciated.
