The Basilica of Saint Clement

The Basilica of Saint Clement is special church in Rome.  Originally on this site was a Temple of Mithra, which was burned down during the fire of Nero.  The Christians took over the site, and two successive churches have been built over the old temple. This Basilica also contains the relics of St. Cyril, Apostle to the Slavs.
