Catholic Resources on the Net

John Mark Ockerbloom no longer maintains this site. However, the Resources are of such value that it is my hope to maintain them for the benifit of the interested net surfer...
Throughout this website, we provide links to other websites solely for the user’s convenience. By providing these links, we assume no responsibility for, nor do we necessarily endorse, these websites, their content, or their sponsoring organizations.
At the time John Mark said .."....Feel free to reuse these links in your own pages, if you like." and....

"If you're looking for other sources of Catholic information, here are a few resources and indexes I often checked:

These resources gave me access to answers for most of the questions I received while maintaining these pages.

A few (labeled) sections of my resource index included coverage of Catholics "on the fringes", who may dissent to some extent from Rome. I don't know of any other index that has full coverage here. Jerry Darring's Theology Library includes fairly detailed coverage of the "left" fringe. I haven't found as thorough coverage of the "right" fringe. Dave Armstrong's "Traditionalist" and Schismatic Catholics page has some links about some relevant groups, though links to the actual pages of those groups can be hard to find. See also the links I had in my old indexes, which included both "left" and "right". "
Guadalupe adds ..I don't know what this last sentence means , but I have left it there for the present. Also , I must add that Dave Armstrong's entire site, 'Biblical Evidence for Catholicism', is an excellent resource and is accessible here.

John Mark went on .. "The links below go to my link indexes as they existed at the time I stopped maintaining this index in (northern) spring 1999. Feel free to reuse these links in your own pages, if you like. However, keep in mind that the links may be obsolete, and that I will not be updating them here. Also keep in mind that I do not have the time currently to answer most questions sent to me."
Guadalupe adds... We hope to make these links always live and current. Please e-mail us if you find any dead links. We will try to answer Questions that are sent to us at this stage, if only to evaluate how much this site remains of use to others. John Mark went on....

"Although there is no designated successor site to this one, some sites have already reused some of the material I included on these pages. I hope people find these sites useful.

Thanks to everyone who gave suggestions and support for these pages for the last 6 years! "

John Mark Ockerbloom, September 1999

The usage of the term "Catholic" on these pages follows that of the Second Vatican Council, which defines the Catholic Church as the church "governed by the successor of Peter and by the Bishops in communion with him." (Lumen Gentium, 8).

This index has been edited by John Mark Ockerbloom, a lay Catholic. It is not sponsored by any Catholic organization, and may link to material not endorsed by the Catholic Church. It does, however, attempt to identify official Catholic documents and positions as such. If you have suggestions or comments, please write me.
