Michael McGregor writes (10/20/08): "My fondest memories of my time with the girls from Groton are George Van Slyke and Norm Garrett stopping for every can on the side of the road to help fund our trips and buy our equipment (the girls were horrified that their Dads would do such a thing.)
 
...Freezing at Ross Field doing field show (actually learning winterguard behind the bleachers.) And the long bus rides with our faithful driver Bill and our imaginary member "Mary"."
