This is the log that describes the Junior Council and how it came about..
The entire purpose of having you read this is because Binc
came up with an idea the applies to the Circle. After discussing it with
Lamiria, Crystal Lighte, and Magic Cat we came up with some of the details that
go along with the idea..
This log starts from right after all of the Beekin Council members left Owsla
Island in Sanctuary to go start the Beekin Council meeting.. We were
talking about wanting to help with the Circle and to be Beekins..I included this
part of our discussion because I felt it would be helpful to read where I got my
idea from...
Crystal Lighte wants to help... but doesn't do enough, she guesses. ;p
Lamiria: I hope it's alright if i sit here with you. I know I can't go to the meeting...
You say, "We were just talking about that.."
Magic Cat: I'd like to be a beeeekin ;P
Lamiria: I'd become one myself, but I'm not around much now... maybe once I get my 1 gigahertz system I'll be around more...
Magic Cat: Maybe if I stay on furc for ten more years they'll ask me to be a BC ;P
You say, "I would love to be a Beekin Helper, and I -am- certainly on enough, but I think I am too imature right now.."
Magic Cat: Same, Binc..
You say, "I can be very mature, but sometimes I get carried away.."
Magic Cat: Me too.
Crystal Lighte is on enough, but not always. @.@; Sporadically.
Lamiria hasn't been on enough since October... oh well, can't control RL...
Magic Cat: I'm usually on
Crystal Lighte: It seems you have to be doing a lot. o.O; Patches, guilds, helping...
Magic Cat: But I wouldn't get asked.. I'm not mature enough =p
You say, "I would be more then willing to do any of that, if someone would ask me"
Crystal Lighte: But the problem is that they don't ask. ^^; I'm not sure maturity is the problem here.
Magic Cat: same
You say, "Well, another thing that you have to figure in is if you are trusted..Has Emmie -really- known me and MC that long? Not really.."
Magic Cat: That's true Binc =p
Crystal Lighte: Emmie's known me since I've been on Furc... I've been ringed longer than some.
You say, "But you have other reasons...you're not on a lot"
Crystal Lighte nods_
Crystal Lighte: So most furres assume I've only been a member since last summer_
You say, "There are many reasons that would make us not good Beekin Helpers..perhaps if we work harder and
prove ourselves.."
Crystal Lighte: No, I think we'd make decent Beekin Helpers... you're thinking Council_
You say, "Hrm..I get them confused a lot..but I -do- know the difference"
You say, "Ok, your right..we would make good beekin helpers..but not councilors"
**This is where our discussion went from helping out furres and the Beekin
Council to talking about the Circle**
Crystal Lighte: Y'know, looking back on the Circle calendar, there used to be a lot going on. There'd be specific dates for
ringings, you'd have to sign up, not like now. And there'd be classes taught too.
Crystal Lighte needs to attend a Mentor & Teaching class. ;p
You say, "Many things are being slacked off when in comes to the Circle"
**I come up with my idea..**
You say, "I have an idea.."
Magic Cat: An idea? =p
You say, "Yes..I think it is a good one.."
Magic Cat: Can we hear?

You say, "I have an idea, but I am going to ask you guys to keep it between the four of us for a time.."

You say, "We should start a type of Junior Council within the Circle..Many of the things that the older members are too busy to do, we can do.."
Magic Cat: ooh
You say, "It would be a good way to earn trust and experience"
You say, "And it would totally benefit the Circle"
Magic Cat: Thats a good idea, binc _
Lamiria: That's a rather good idea_
Crystal Lighte: Hmm_
You say, "We could have a leader of the Junior Circle Council and the members of it would be chosen just like the members of the beekin
council are chosen"
You say, "So..what do you guys say? Should we talk to Emmie about a Junior Council?"
Crystal Lighte: Sure_
Magic Cat: Yup _
Lamiria: Yeah, go ahead_

You say, "What do we want to accomplish through this?"
Magic Cat: You said.. that this council could do the jobs that the older members have no time for, or something like that :P
Binc nods
Crystal Lighte: There used to be Factions... which eventually caused too many furres to be burned out.
Magic Cat: burned out, as in? :P
You say, "Many things are not being done..because many of the older members don't have time.."
Crystal Lighte: There were a few meetings earlier last month about faction revivals, but it's still undecided.
Magic Cat nods.
Crystal Lighte: Burned out as it they were overworked, stressed out, tired_

You say, "Perhaps until the faction problem is solved we could pick up slack.."

***Crystal Lighte: We should take teaching classes, maybe... because MidnightFire and Lithius are the only active Teachers, I think, so maybe there'd be more classes taught. There's very little IC play going on right now and things like counselling are practically zero.

You say, "But she said she wouldn't be able to meet with us until late because of the Beekin Council meeting"
You say, "I can only stay for another two hours"
Magic Cat: I can only stay on for another ten minutes.
Crystal Lighte: I'm not sure how long I can stay.
You say, "I told her I could ICQ her what we wanted to say.."
You say, "She still has to answer me back again"
Crystal Lighte: Maybe we should send her a copy of a revised logfile?
You say, "You mean..this logfile?"
Crystal Lighte nods_ It should save some explaining.

Crystal Lighte: We should think of some examples of minor things that the Circle needs done.
**You say, "I don't want her to think that we are being rude in assuming that she doesn't already know that many things aren't being done.."**
****I meant like that I know you are in charge of the Circle and you are
aware of the stuff that goes on, but Crystal, Magic, and I were noticing that
some little things weren't getting done, and we just figured we'd be able to
help fix some of the minor stuff..That is basically what the entire point of the
JC (Junior Council) would be..All the *new* Circle members could help with all
the minor stuff..we realize that we haven't been members of the Circle for that
long and therefore we aren't given many responsibilities..but with the JC, it
would give us a chance to prove ourseleves, and at the same time it would be
taking some of the work load off of you and all the other busy furres who
already do a lot of work for the Circle****
Crystal Lighte nods.
You say, "Ok Crystal, you are right..we need to talk about examples"
You say, "What is something that we could do to help out ?"
Crystal Lighte: We could do weddings, healing...
Crystal Lighte: And, greet + help whoever asks-- which is being done, but we could try to make more of an effort, perhaps.
You say, "And anything else that Emmie wants to have us do we can do"
Crystal Lighte nods_
You say, "Also..this Junior Council is a good way to help new Circle Members get accustomed to the Circle"
You say, "It would introduce new members to having a little bit of power, which is good practice for the future.."
Crystal Lighte: Hmm. What else could we do?
You say, "As younger and newer members we'd be more intouch with what is going on with the other younger/new people..we could make the the
other/older/moretrusted_ members aware of any problems.."
You say, "I think a lot of the time they fall out of touch with what is going on with us
young'uns ;p"
Crystal Lighte notes that a lot of the more trusted Circle members are in their teens or 20's... no one too old. =D
Binc nods and agrees..
You say, "But on average, the younger ones are less trusted heh_"
Crystal Lighte: Should we also vow to try to be happy and friendly whenever we're in
Sanc? =D
Magic Cat: okay _

You say, "How many furres, and which furres, and who's the leader?"
Crystal Lighte: Yeesh. @.o; Let's think about this for a moment.

You say, "I think that there should be a leader, but the leader should be called the 'Coordinator'"
You say, "because he/she coordinates what goes on.."
You say, "But this is all up to Em anyway..maybe if this happens we won't even make it into the Junior Council @.o"
Crystal Lighte: Hey, we're the ones who started it-- or you are, so... we probably would_
You say, "But what if we didn't @.@"
You say, "Oh well..it would still benefit the Circle"
You say, "That's all that matters"
Crystal Lighte: I think once Emmie said whatever ideas we had, we'd have to try to carry them out themselves if she agreed with it, like with the Faction Revival. I think.

You say, "So like she tells us what to do and we have to figure out how to do it.."

Crystal Lighte: That would be sad if this was all in vain. -.-
You say, "She may not like the idea because this is what the factions do?"
Crystal Lighte: Not really... they do a lot more than this. ^^;
Crystal Lighte: There's seperate factions for healers, priests, priestesses, teachers,
dreamsmiths, warriors, etc... all dealing with in character-- mostly. All has to do with the three
Circlettes.
Crystal Lighte: A lot of the old Faction heads and active furres aren't around that much anymore.
**That basically sums up our idea..although it wasn't much of a
summary..Sorry it was so long, but I thought if you read the whole thing and
heard everything we said then you'd get a better understanding of where we are
coming from an what we want to do..We just want to help as much as we can, and we are more then willing to help, you just have to
ask***
