Like many of you, I never had a chance to meet Michele in person, but that did not stop here from befriending all of us. I have met many people via the internet and not one of them was as easy to get along with as Michele was. Even though I struggle with this tragic event, I am sure that there was a reason for it. The life lesson that I will take from this is that you should never pass up the chance to tell your family and friends just how much they mean to you.

GirlyGirl....There's so much I want to say to/or about our friend, but am unable to as I can't express my feelings with mere words, she had impacted me so much with her passing that I am unable to gather my true thoughts at this time. It's been almost a week since the tragedy occured that has taken our Special friend from us, and though I am getting over the initial shock of loosing her, I am still stunned by how much it has affected me. I never would have believed how much loosing someone I had never met in person could affect me....Girly was a Special Friend to us all. I hope we can all help each other out with dealing with our feelings and be kind and respectful to each other through our hardest moments. I didn't know Girly as well as some of you, but I do know that she was a very sweet girl who was well liked by all that knew her. My good friends Warbuff and WildWiZarD had a great deal of respect and admiration for her. Although I only talked to her a few times in the game, she was always very friendly and made me feel welcome even when I was new to the "gang". My heart broke when I heard the news about Michele. I only wish I would have had the opportunity to know her as well as some of you did.
I think I speak for everyone when I say that there has been a very empty,sad feeling everytime we join the game this week and think about Girly not being able to be there. The one thing we should all remember when that feeling comes over us is that she may not be able to be there playing, but she has gone on to a better place where nothing else can hurt her ever again.

I don’t even know where to start. Let me put it this way, Gi Gi was my buddy, we would set up times where we could both be at sev’s sight. At times I would use the player name IM_n_2_Girly Girl, Michele would always get a kick out of that. There seems to be some sort of bond there with everyone. You guys know what I mean. You would enter the chamber and there would be 6 or so familiar names. People you looked forward to seeing when you went in to play especially after a long day at work, school or whatever. But Michele was special, When she was there she lit up the place. It wasn't unusual that every time Michele entered the chamber, ¾ of the people in the game would send her a warm welcome. And then she proceeded to kick your butt. Lol…She will be missed... I also agree with Warbuff, I recently let myself get busy with building a new house, Girly Girl and I were supposed to catch up with each other last week, I didn’t show. She sent me an email asking me where I was … I didn’t respond until Thursday, we all know what happened that night. Severian - thanks for giving us all a place to come together. I wander who Michele’s pulling for tonight? :)

I never met Girlygirl but have heard about her...she has played in my server before though, friends tell me. I have downloaded 1400 models from wonswap and came across many of Girlygirls models. I feel very sad at what happened to her. Eventhough I dont know her I am sorry to hear it. Her husband must be having a tough time missing her and most likely not want to touch her computer or the game half life for a long time... Everyone will miss her..

I find it very hard to write this without the tears breaking through. I remember the first time Michele came into the server. It was actually quite funny. B-nutz and I convinced her that she had to send her pic to him in order to continue playing in the server, that everyone who played had their pic posted on the Severian website. She did and the rest is, as they say, history. Over time she became a good friend and I always looked forward to her coming into the game and putting a smile on everyone's face. Outside of the game, we had talked briefly via email and I got to know what a wonderful person she was. As we built this website this became even clearer. I don't think Michele actually knew how MANY lives she had touched. Now, as I read the guest book, this number seems to grow. Thank You, Michele. I will miss you.

Dearest Girlygirl (Michele),
Where to begin? What to say? Why does this affect me (us) so? Most of us, and certainly me, are struggling with the significant rocking of the boat that this has been. Shock, Disbelief, Denial, pleading with God, terrible Grief, Anger, Rage, and now finally giving way to a sad acceptance, a reminder of my own mortality, of how precious each and every moment is, how easy it is to take the one thing we shouldn’t for granted, and how you cannot go back and “respawn” out here in “real life”. Damn how I wish you could!
Any stranger reading these posts would have to come to the correct conclusion that you, Michele, are a rare, true gem of a spirit that has that magic, that special something, you have the ultimate “mojo”. I too never had the privilege or greater fortune to meet you beyond the HL chat and a few actually quite hilarious e-mails. I salute you Michele, for your courage to reach out and make me, and anyone laugh, you had a knack for that. My thoughts and my prayers go out to you, your family, your friends in “real life”, and your eFriends. We will all miss you terribly! I dont want to seem like im shitten you people but to share my thoughts and this past weeks drama I went through to car accidents one one an on ramp going on to a highway the other going done or towards a one way street {i was NOT driving by the way} and my friend falling off a 4 story building. She lives to this day with shattered heals ,broken leg and a shattered ass not to mention 2 broken verdabras. The gut in the next room fell off a ladder; free fall was only 12 feet and now he's parilized from the waist down. Life isn't all what it seems till you go through the harshest of moments that are almost life threatening to the very inch of it. ALWAYS BUCKLE UP!!!! And dont go 60 on an on ramp while its raining or scream at a lush for a long period of time to turn around you might jinks your self. <EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED>

I'm terribly sorry to hear about the death of another HL player, the last one that was remembered in the HL community was a CS player who also faced the similar fate of dying at the hands of a drunk driver. I also remember when [LMS] Hels supposedly died in that Earthquake, which turned out to be false, but gave everyone a scare.

I'm so sorry this has happend. I'm sorry I didn't get to sign this earlier, for I didn't find out for sure till a few minutes B4 I had to catch a flight. It saddened me when I first heard about it and I thought to myself, "Theres no way this could be our GirlyGirl." I started sending messages to her ICQ making sure she was OK, and I was getting no answer. It brought tears to my eyes when I read about Bryan and it brought tears to my eyes when I found out that it was our GirlyGirl. Although I never met GirlyGirl in "real life" I feel she will be sorely missed by me. I can remember too many times that we would turn the torture chamber into a chat room and just talk and cut up. Michelle was probably the nicest person ever to grace the torture chamber. It was great to be able to chat with someone in a friendly way, rather than the usual insults that are sent back and forth in these "shoot em up" games that we play. I came accross this website because I have played on the Severian HL servers from time to time and I saw the bad news about the girl who died when I went to the Severian website. I never met her but I feel pretty sad. I have met a lot of good friends through Half Life and it looks like she did too. Half Life is not just a game, it's a community of people and when one is taken away, even though we have never seen them face to face, it is a pretty sad thing. HiYa! As you would say to me as I stumbled and bumbled into a game. This week it has been six months since you were taken over the rainbow. I just stopped by to let you know that we still miss you, and hardly a day goes by where someone doesn't directly or indirectly remind us of you, and the good things that you did and shared with us. Most things are pretty much the same. Sev is still incredibly generous in donating his time and equipment to create a place where we can meet, frag, and generally yuk it up. Farts still stink, and cheese sandwiches still make ppl fat. I joined a clam, as you can see from the tag, which I know woulda cracked you up. I have gotten to know some of your other eFriends a little better, and let me tell, ya, we are all knuckleheads in our own wayz! But that is what keeps it interesting, ya know? I know you do. There was a particulary amusing discussion about toes a few months ago, that I could swear you were there, I could almost feel you! It is times like those that keep us in that dumb, dumb game! We have some new "faces" to yuk it up with as well, and I'm sure you would have loved to have gotten to know them too, a bunch of knuckleheads each and every one! LOL! I am running around in your clothes this week <snicker> most ppl think I have lost it (what do you mean "lost it"? as if i ever had "it", yeesh!) or am trying to get in touch with my feminine side or going cyberdrag or something, lol! we meet 1 morning about 6 am playing half life . i was the 1 with a back injury. She was very encouraging and we played every day till my comp broke down and my pockets were empty . I look at Girly's site about once a week. It touches me deeply to see all of the nice things people write. What really amazes me is that there are almost always new entries in the guest log. There are still people who are just finding out about Girly who visit and send their condolences ... some who knew her and some who didn't. It's so nice to know that the friends we make in the game or anywhere on the internet are just as genuine as the friends we make in real life. Sometimes even more so. I happened to stumble upon this site while browsing the web and felt compelled to respond. I did not receive the honor of meeting Michelle, but the photograph on the site speaks volumes. Her face glows with vibrance and her eyes shine like precious stars. Her passing is a very ironic event. It is a tragedy when we lose someone so young, and it is compounded when that person is so influential. But she continues to stay with us in our thoughts; the moral of the story is we should appreciate those that we do have. Tell your nearest and dearest how you feel, and often. Our lives are no more than a grain in the sands of time.

Another visit to Sev's web site has returned me here, to my beloved friends Tribute page.... God how I miss her, I'd do anything I could if it would bring GG back to us, but alas it cannot be, so in silence I deal with mt great sorrows and feelings for our friend. Its unbelievable that a year has past since loosing Girly. I know in my heart she is in the house of the Lord, probably laffing as she used to while we had so much fun together playing Half Life at Sev's place. Thank you Sev, for giving us all the oppertunity to meet this truly wonderful person we all miss so much. I was new to playing Halflife and I remember late saturday night I was playing against her and getting constantly killed by her that a conversation struck up. She had asked me my name and I her and we talked about each other sharing tips on the game and then our pesonal lives came into the picture. I told her I was recently divorced and that I was having a hard time of it and she had told me that everything had a purpose and to look forward and at that time it really meant alot to me. So I played a few more times with her and then last August my son who is an avid player told me of Girly's death and All I could think of was how sinceless to taken by a stupid accident. And her words came back to me that I would like to share with all her next of kin...."Everything has a purpose and we must go forward" Thanks again Girly and god bless you and your relatives and may you all have the strenght to live your lifes in her memory.

HiYa! GirlyGirl, lol. How's the weather up there? Hotter than ... well you know... down here! The deafening roar of time passing has continued on, as it always does, but my memory of who you were, your "personality", is still quite vivid, lol, so in a way you still rock-on! You know it is the strangest thing, but sometimes while still playing that stupid game (yes, i know, get a life skid...) i would swear it feels like you are still in there with us, fraggin away! Many of us have drifted off to other "games", but really it is just a twist of our old standby, lol. The cool thing is that it is many of the same peeps that played good ole, HLDM together with you "Back in da day", a year and change later, we are still yukkin it up together, eeheh, stoopid as that may seem, lol. I think you would have liked it, if you had a competitive edge, which is suspect you did, lol. Your friend in R/L, Riotgrrrl, is very much a part of our online cadre of stooges now, lol, and every once in a while I let her shoot me in da bum, cuz you would have giggled about that < snicker >, tho she mostly has her way with me despite what i do, lol. Anyway my dear, we still miss you terribly, but know that you are kickin' tail in the perpetual no-lag, infinite frames per sec playgrounds with the Big Guy. Save a spot on the server for me will ya!

I remember the the screen talk about girlygirl's death not long after it happened. I never to my knowledge had the pleasure of playing with her. Now several years later I stumbled upon this site, quite by accident and upon looking at her beautiful face and smile I have cried for the the loss of such a young life. I am a 37 year old woman with three daughters and I made sure to show this picture and site to my daughters. Explaining the consequences of drinking and driving to them. I never knew girlygirl, but they say the good die young. My brother, who died in a car accident was also a CS/TFC/HL player and he had his family online also. Just thinking of you Girly, I nearly joined you in Half Life Heaven about a month ago, I had a horrific crash on my motorcycle and the only reason I survived is God decided my work or task here on earth isn't finished yet. Either that or I'm proof that Miracles do happen. I was doing something extremely dumb that I never should have been doing and almost paid the ultimate price for my stupidity. I hope your safe and well keeping an eye on all your many friends, one day we'll all be together again and enjoy the time we have together like we did before. I miss you andthe times we soent together playing "that goofy game" LOL Riots one of my best friends and from time to time we still get together and play games and talk about the fun we had. Riot got married recently to a really nice sounding guy! I'm so happy for her :-) Girly We all miss you, God Bless You my friend, Aloha Isly :-)

Hi Girly! Just me Isly! I was writing a letter to Gabe Newell the CEO of Valve he sent me a letter asking me to write about some of my experiences I had while playing Half Life and of course I couldn't leave out my best friends Riot and Girly! :-) Gabe will probably come visit you sometime soon, since I told him about your site with all the players messages to you and your family. Thanks to Destiny for cleaning up some of the nasty posts the internet lamers made. I sure miss you Girly, we used to have some really great times in Sev's! You, Riot and Skid are the only people I've met that would stay in the server all night until the sun came up the next day playing and talking until we couldn't keep our eyes open! Those were truly some Great times that I dearly miss with all my heart. I need to email Riot. She got Married! To a Gamer! She's so happy! Very nice tribute. I don't play HL, but I play lotsa Halo 2 and understand how the people u meet impact your life just like people u meet in real life. It's nice that she had some good friends, I'm sure you made her time on Earth a much happier place than it would have been without you. :) Game on.

I dont remember her but i have been playing HL since it came out it's allways sad to loose anyone especialy friends we all make online in HL. It's truely sad to see a young life cut short because someone decided they could drive drunk. I know She is in a better place and hopefully they have Half-life Joe

i never knew michelle or know anyone in this community or have even played this mod, i just happened to check out the severian mod website to come across this news. i just want to send out my condolences to everybody who knew her. nobody deserves to lose someone special in their life to such a tragedy. best wishes to you all -jayson

Aloha my friend. I havent been around to say hi for a while. I may not be able to be back for quite a while if I lose my income. Girly the game isnt the same without you and the gang. The very best memories I ever had playing online came from those days when you, Rion and myself along with Sev, his kids ;-) and Beaker, Skid (dam texan :) ) Piesey and the rest were doing out thing..... I miss thise days so much,. Well we will all be together someday I know that will be the vest day the universe ever sees... I cant wait. : ) Even though you will have the skils of an Angel from playing with the big guy we will still have the best times a person can have....
