April

One normal boring school day, a girl named Emelia was walking home with her best friend April. Emelia and April did everything together, bowling, skating, soccer. But the thing they both liked the most was science. Probably because April’s dad was a scientist. When they were at April’s house, April invited Emelia inside for a snack. While they were eating, her dad came in and shouted, " I’m finally done with my masterpiece!" Emelia screamed and April stood there looking very miserable because he did this all the time."What is it this time dad" said April. " My latest invention!" He said."The shrinking machine 2001!" Suddenly as he got all exited, by accident he jumped on it and turned it on…

He had shrunk April!!

"Hello" Came a small voice from below. "Hello!" Nobody heard April screaming for help. "Where did April go?" asked Emelia. "Oh you know April, she’s probably testing something or something like that." "O.K., I better get home, you know my mom gets worried, tell April I said bye O.K" "O.K" said April’s dad.

"APRIL!!!, Where are you?" "APRIL!!!" "I am down here"cried April"Oh my GOSH!!!"Said her father "I better unshrink you now before your mother gets home!" "Are you O.K.?" "I’m fine, but hurry!" "Hold on tight!"Whoosh!

Went the shrinking machine. Suddenly her mom came in through the door. "Is everything all right in here?" she asked. Luckily the shrinking machine was done with unshrinking April just as her mom walked through the door. "Everything is fine mom." "O.K, dinner’s cooking.

"I’m so sorry April" said her dad. "I had no idea". "That’s O.K dad." So from that day on, April’s dad didn’t let anyone near it, he had no idea how dangerous it could be.

Jenny liked the smell, but it reminded her of a hot dog she had once had. She could just remember…..

It was a hot summer day and Jenny and her family were looking for a place to eat. Suddenly, they saw an old tavern. The shutters were falling off and the paint was peeling. On a large, white board the words, The Hot Dog Tavern, were painted on in red and yellow paint. Jenny’s brother, Jack, pointed to the tavern. The family agreed to in.

They all ordered normal hot dogs. Mustard and ketchup made swhirly lines on them. Jenny’s was NOT normal though. The meat was hard as rock, the ketchup was sour, and the mustard had big brown polka dots on it. Jenny threw it in the garbage.

Jenny returned to the present from her memory. This Hot Dog Cabin she was standing in sounded and looked a lot like the Hot Dog Tavern.

Little did Jenny know, after the hot dog had been in the trash, it had gone to the dump. At the dump a man named Bill was sooo hungry! He had been standing there all day. Suddenly, Bill saw the perfectly smooth, non-touched hot dog. He was so hungry, he snatched it up and took three bites. Then he dropped it since he was called to carry a heavy load of garbage.

Little did Bill know, after he dropped the hot dog, it had been piled up in a monstrous dumpster. Mr. Simon Bradley and his poor family stood outside, homeless. Then he saw the half-eaten hot dog. He took it and copied down the recipe. He made millions of dollars from selling that recipe to hot-dog-makers around the country.

Bill, Simon, and Jenny all stood remembered their experiences with the strange hot dog as they all stood in line at the Hot Dog Cabin. When they ordered their hot dogs, they each got one entitled, Simon Bradley Style Hot Dog. It had meat that was as hard as a rock, sour ketchup, and mustard with big brown polka dots on it. They all looked at each other, even though they didn’t know each other, and laughed. It was strange that they were all there at the same time, especially since they had all seen the first ever Simon Bradley Style.
