July is of course the month with the most color. Almost every day of
the month I can pick a spectacular bouquet of flowers. The Columbine, Lupine,
Iris, Clustered Bellflower, Creeping Baby's Breath, Painted Daisy, Oriental
Poppy, Dianthus, Jacob's Ladder, Spiderwort, Mallow, Peony, Peach-Leafed
Bellflower, Cranesbill, Salvia, and Yarrow continue to bloom. New plants in early July are
Blue Mallow, Foxglove, Shasta
Daisy, Campanula, Pincushion Flower,
Roses, Delphinium,
Monkshood, Lavender, Gaillardia,
Harebells,
and Coreopsis. In
mid to late July we start to see Flax, some of the
Garden Phloxes, Soapwort, Cupid's
Dart, and Sedum. Oriental Lilies and Daylilies start to bloom in July also. I have a separate page
with pictures and blooming charts for the lilies.
