Here's a shot from a visit to a local elementary school by our Sumo Club. It was a close match and ended in a draw with everyone happy!
Providing a fresh market to members of the surrounding community, we get a chance to sell the things that we have produced. This includes vegetables, flowers, and eggs. The students from the Agricultural Industries class manage the market, gaining valuable retail experience.
During the fall of our second year at Nourin High School, we get a chance to head to Japan's northern island of Hokkaido. In Hokkaido, we learn about the differences in agriculture and we get some hands-on practice. We really learn alot and have a great time because we actually stay in the homes of some of the farming families of Hokkaido!
A few of us get chosen each year to travel abroad to Indonesia. It is definitely one of the coolest trips of the year! While we are there, we visit our sister school, Tanjungsuri High School, and learn about Indonesian culture. We also study agriculture and industry in Indonesia. Best of all, we get to make alot of new friends and see the world outside of Japan!
