How do we praise Him?
|
So how then do we praise Him when we get a bad report? I believe we can pray something along the lines of: "Lord Jesus Christ, I thank You that though Satan is trying to destroy men, You died on the cross that I might be healed. I am laying this bad report or disappointment up on the altar right before You and I'm going to praise You in this circumstance because Your Word says You can bring GOOD out of everything. Teach me to trust You. Teach me how to renew my mind with Your Word. I long to trust Your Word and I'm going to decide to praise You as a sacrifice of praise even though, in the natural, this looks like too tough a situation. By faith, I'm going to renew my mind with Your Word and continue to praise You right on through this regardless. My joy is based in Your love for me and in Your might and Your power. Every knee has to bow at Your Name and this circumstance is a name that has to bow at Your Name. Hallelujah. You have allowed this so show me any area of my life where You are not on the throne. I repent and I ask You to cleanse me and begin to restore me in body, soul, mind, and spirit. My hope is in You, Lord." © 2001 Ralph and Susan McIntosh |
