When God Created Woman

When God made the world, man did he create.
Then God looked around, and said, "He needs a mate."
God put the man to sleep, took a rib out of his side.
Now he had a mate, with whom he could abide.

When the man awoke, he took a look around.
That is when he heard an unfamiliar sound.
He listened very closely, to the gentle voice.
This mate that God created caused him to rejoice.

A creation of great beauty, a gift from God to man,
Bone of bone and flesh of flesh, she shall be called woman.
She was soft and tender, pleasing to the eye.
They would be together, until the day they die.

When God created woman, she was his masterpiece.
After he was finished, God knew man would be pleased.
The man then said to God, "Thanks for this gift to man.
The best day of Creation was when God created woman."
