The Cross

You are the Lord, the most High,
Yet for my salvation you did die.

You humbled yourself to death on a cross,
Yet how often do I forget the cost?

You bore my wounds, for my healing,
Yet how do I repay you? By more sinning.

You knew me before I was born,
Yet for my sins, your body was torn.

You are the Alpha and Omega, the first and last,
Yet I so often let this slip past.

Such love I cannot comprehend,
Thank You Jesus, my faithful friend.
