The Lord and I

The Lord and I
We play the game together, this game of life.
He and I; we strive to make it right.
He finds ways to make the pathway light.
 
He lets me fall.
And then; I call.
He reaches down
Without a frown.
 
I speak to Him.
He speaks to me.
I try to listen.
Then His ways He makes me see.
 
If for any reason I have to suffer
He comforts and shows me a verse in Scripture
Such as "It is good that I have been afflicted;
that I might learn Thy statutes." Psalm 119:71
 
He is molding and making me.
Into what He wants me to be.
"He works ALL things after the counsel
of His own will." Ephesians 1:11
 
We play the game together.
If I make an error, He corrects.
Then I confess; He forgives.
Then we smile a while.
Together.
