I hadn't planned on putting up another page to go along
with the others, but after much thought I decided to add this one.
It seems from some media reports that in some cases, patriotism has turned into
prejudice, even paranoia.  From reports I've gotten from my scanner and from the news, it seems that some people of Arabic descent have been the targets of mindless acts of violence.

This clearly has to stop.  To judge the masses of people of a certain ethnicity/color/race/ and, or religion by the action of a few hatfeul members of their community is wrong.  We must realize that members of the Arabic/Muslim community were surely lost in the tragic events of September 11, 2001.  I'm no expert of the Muslim religion, but I find it hard, if not impossible to believe that most members of either community actually condone what happened.

The bottom line is this:  If we continue to react with ignorance and blind hatred as a few have done, the terrorists have won.  They've driven a wedge between us all, and that's not what this country is all about. New York City is a perfect example.

Since the bombings, we've all seen the same pictures on our TV screens.
Black, white,Christians, Jews, and I'd even guess Muslims, coming together to help in the rescue efforts. Isn't this what we want to world to remember, along with the victims and their families?

In this time of our coming together, don't let us be pulled apart.  And to the people of the Arabic/Muslim communities who have been unfairly targeted:  Please accept my personal apologies for any hostile acts that may have been comitted against you, your familes, or your communities.  I'm sorry you've had to
experience the worst  America has to offer.

God Bless the USA

If tomorrow all the things were gone
I'd worked for all my life
And I had to start again
With just my children and my wife
I'd thank my lucky stars
To be living here today
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom
And they can't take that away.

Chorus:

I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free,
And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me,
And I gladly stand up next to you
And defend her still today,
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A.

From the lakes of Minnesota
To the hills of Tennessee,
Across the plains of Texas
From sea to shining sea.
From Detroit down to Houston
And New York to L.A.,
There's pride in every American heart
And it's time we stand and say:

Repeat Chorus
