This page is dedicated to F-86H s/n 52-2044, which bears the nose art "Howdy Doody."  This plane was acquired from the Air Guard by Don Moyer, Sr in 1961, and after several years of display, was stored for future restoration.  On this site you will find photos documenting its service, preservation and restoration.

This plane currently resides at the Front Royal, VA airport, on loan from the Moyer family.  You will find information about the 167th Air National Guard unit, in which this plane last served, as well as photos taken when the plane was donated for public display.  In storage for over 30 years, this plane was reassembled in July 2000, and restoration work continues to return it to static display condition.
