eels neato news
Well folks, I just added this nice section (although it
should've been done a long, long time ago). Here you will find
news that i have come across through the net, radio, and
television.
Well the album "Daisies of the Galaxy" is due out soon.
February 21st in the UK and the US. But us CANADIANS
have to wait till FLIPPIN MARCH 14TH, DAMMIT!!
There are a lot of neato info on this album. For instance,
it was recorded at the very same time that "Electro-Shock Blues"
was recorded.
"I wanted to make a fun, pretty record that was full of life.
We ended up making two very different records: One was loud,
dark and scary, full of feedback; the other was 'Daisies Of
The Galaxy'. The two albums were made at the same time, but
I only wanted to put this one out now." Said E.
So apparently we have two totaly different albums. We have
"Electro-Shock Blues", which is the dark, eerie (yet satisfying)
album. And now (soon), we have the light hearted, full of
happiness album called, "Daisies of the Galaxy". I tell ya
folks, I'm quite pumped for this album, and I'm sure you all
are as well.
Oh by the way. There was someone other great musicians working on this new
album, and it was Grant Lee Phillips (from Grant Lee Buffalo)
on bass. And we also had REM's Peter Buck on the always
wonderful piano, gee-tar, and bass. Peter Buck is also the
co-writer for the song "Estate Sale" on the new CD.
That's all the neato news I have right now, but I will keep
you all informed in the near future.

Notice anything similar about these two titles? Well if you had
an eye you would notice that "Efil's God" is "Dogslife" backwards.
Yes that is right.
