I surprised a lot of people this year. I was tiny and everyone thought that they were just going to run me over. On the first day of pads i did so well that they moved me up to the varsity. I hit with the varsity the rest of the year. It was a good season for me. A lot of learning. We finished up 4-5 but 3 of our losses were to state qualifying teams and one of those was to Claflin who won state that year. I was backup to an all-state runningback and an all-state linebacker. I didn't get as much playing time as i would have liked, but its quality not quantity.

    I was the backup tailback and backup middle linebacker.  I got a 
lot of playing time on special teams and defense.  I didn't start any
games that year, but I played a lot against Greensburg, Moundridge, 
and Peabody.
