Beaded Candle Ornament
I made this and attached an candle legend to it.
Directions for the candle ornament...
MATERIALS
1 gold pipe cleaner
12 - 16 red tri-beads
6 18mm green starburst beads
20 8MM clear faceted beads
Thread on three green starburst beads, then all 20 clear beads and then three more green beads. Bring the beads to the center of the pip cleaner and bring the ends together. Twist them twice as close to the green beads as possible. Thread on 12 - 16 of the red beads... Leave a little piece at the top for the wick of the candle. Turn the red candle upwards into the center of the circle and bend to suited shape. There is no need for glue, the beads don't fall off. If you are afraid they will, just use one side of the gold pipe cleaner and bend over to the side to hold red beads in place leaving one piece or side of gold pipe cleaner sticking straight up.

CANDLE AND THE SMALL STRANGER

Christmas Eve in medieval times a lonely dressmaker sat sewing by the light of a candle in her window. She opened it to find a small boy standing quietly in the dark. "I am lost and very cold", he said, " I saw the candle in your window and thought perhaps you would let me in to rest."
The poor dressmaker worried. If she took him in she might not have time to finish her work. But her kind heart won out. She made a bed for the boy by the hearth and while he rested she brought him broth. After the boy had eaten he thanked the woman and said he must be on his way. The dressmaker bade the little stranger farewell and returned to her work. Then she saw the miracle. All her dresses were beautifully finished!! The dressmaker ran outside to catch the child. To the woman's surprise he left no footprints in the snow. Then she knew. Her visitor had been the Christ Child.
Thus through centuries the custom of burning candles on Christmas Eve to welcome all strangers.

Log Snowman
I don't know who to give credit to, but I saw this in a shop window last night, it was darling!
You need three logs, in descending sizes to make the snowmans body. They are just cut logs. The snowman I saw used a base log about 10 inches in height, and the middle log was about 7 inches in height, and the head was about 5". Paint all three logs white, and fasten them together to form the body. A stocking cap can be attached to the top log, and lumps of coal are attached to make eyes and mouth using a glue gun. Tie a scarf around the neck, paint a clothespin orange and attach as a nose using the glue gun.

Candy Race Car
What You Need
Low temp hot glue gun
Ribbons or yarn for hanging
1 large package of gum (1 1/4" x 3" x 3/4")
4 round wrapped candies (I used peppermints)
1 shiny wrapped candy about 1 1/4" long
2 mini chocolate bars (1 1/2" x 1" x 3/8") I got mine from Hersheys in a big bag
How To Make It
Glue the shiny candy to the front of the gum pack as a bumper. Wrap the extra wrapping around the edges of the pack. Glue the 4 round candies on as wheels.
Glue the 1 candybar on the back half of the car, allowing it to stick off the back by a 1/4 of an inch or so.
Glue the other candybar across the back of that candybar, having at least 1/2 of it extending past the edge of the lower candybar. Look at the illustration and experiment.
Tips
About finding the candies: Think shapes. Go to your local store and look for rectangles, circles, shiny wrappings, etc. I found small packages of gum in a large multipack of gum. You can also remove the gum sticks from the package and glue them together to create a 'small pack' sized set of gum. I used wrapped peppermints and folded the extra cellophane around to the back and glued it down before gluing the candy to the project. And don't be afraid to combine several candies (like the small squares of Starburst candies) to make larger shapes. This is an exercise in creativity. Experiment with your candies and try them different ways before you begin gluing, and most of all, have fun!

Candy Airplane Ornament
Parental supervision is recommended.
This project is rated EASY to do.
What You Need
Low temp hot glue gun
Ribbons or yarn for hanging
2 small packages of gum (3" x 3/4" x 3/8")
Small piece of cardboard
3 small square candies - I used Starbursts (3/4" x 3/4" x 1/4"), optional
How To Make It
Place one pack of gum on it's side, glue the other pack on as wings. If you want thinner wings, remove a stick of gum from the pack and use that instead.
We used 3 Starbursts to make the tail. This makes the tail a bit big. You might want to use just 1 Starburst and make some side fins of cardboard (or a 1/2 stick of gum). We glued them together to form an upside down T, then glued the T to the back of the plane. Make a little propeller out of cardboard and glue it to the front.

Supplies
16-inch STYROFOAM® Brand circle, 3½ inches wide*
Green aerosol craft paint
10 bags (13oz.) HERSHEY'S KISSES® Milk Chocolates (Red, Green & Silver)
Confectioners' glue**
Round toothpicks, cut in half
Red Bow
Florist wire
Instructions
Spray STYROFOAM® circle with green paint. Let dry Glue green foil-wrapped HERSHEY'S KISSES in rows to cover circle, placing 4 KISSES in a row, bottoms down. Press each firmly in place. Insert points of toothpicks into bottoms of 54 green foil-wrapped KISSES. Press each around outside edge of circle. Insert points of toothpicks into bottoms of 10 silver, 10 red, and 9 green foil-wrapped KISSES. Press each color alternately on inside of edge of circle. (Use glue, if necessary). Alternately glue red-wrapped and silver-wrapped HERSHEY'S KISSES on top of green-wrapped KISSES laying each KISS on its side and pressing firmly in place. Let glue dry for several hours or overnight.
Attach bow with florist wire.
To hang wreath, we recommend a plastic or metal wreath door hanger.
*Or use 1 (12-inch circle, 1½ inches wide) and 1 (16 inch circle, 2 inches wide).
Hold circles together by inserting wooden skewers.
**Safe Confectioners' Glue: With a whisk, gently stir together 4 teaspoons All-Natural Egg Whites ("Meringue Powder") and ¼ cup water until completely dissolved. Beat in 3 cups sifted powdered sugar until thick and smooth.
Candy on completed craft items not intended for human consumption.
